Vector Graphics: Word Mark Project

I manipulated vector graphics and text to create a visual representation of a random word using Adobe Illustrator. The project required editing text to merge fonts and vector graphics.

I chose “manufacture” and used an organic-looking font to act as stalks for my representation of green manufacturing. For the leaves, I used a vector I found on thenouneproject.com. I modified the letters and leaves to appear more grafted and organic by using the Free Transform, Puppet Warp, and Curvature tools.

As a contrast, I developed an industrial representation. Here, I started with the robotic arm. I knew I wanted this to look like an assembly line. I found the Acier Bat font whose lines look like a conveyor belt. I also found vectors on thenounproject.com and modified them to integrate them into the word.

Raster Graphics: Room Redecorating

In this assignment, I used Adobe Photoshop to redecorate a room.

By using mask and patch tools on multiple layers, I was able to remove and replace elements. I created pattern layers and editable room elements, too.

Raster Graphics 2: Book Cover and Mock Ups

This project required the use of a book title and subject randomizer and we were to create a book cover composition in Adobe Photoshop.

I took multiple open-source images to create a book cover that I erased some elements and adjusted the colors and lighting to create something a bit more aged. Then I modified a logo in Illustrator, linking it to the Photoshop project. Later, through masking, I placed the book cover onto other book images, attempting to match the color and lighting.

InDesign: Mini Book

Tasked with creating a fairy tale mini-book, including the front and back covers, which I made in Illustrator with multiple elements and text.
